What do we do?

Our Work

We seek to improve the quality of life of those who need it most, through a participatory process of design, construction and activation of green areas.

Our mission

Our mission is to improve the quality of life in vulnerable neighborhoods through a participatory process of design, construction and activation of green areas for the meeting. We dream of a country where everyone is proud of their neighborhoods, that is our vision.

Work model

Each green area project is financed by a company, which is linked to the community that it will benefit through corporate volunteering, where they can participate from the beginning in the workshops, until the construction day, where the square is finished and inaugurated . Once the space is inaugurated, the corresponding Municipality takes charge of the maintenance of the place.

Stages of each project

With projects throughout Chile, we have confirmed how powerful joint work between the public sector, society and the private sector can be.

Place

Search for financing

We are looking for companies or organizations that want to support a community to achieve the transformation of an abandoned public space into a new community plaza.

Participatory design

We hold workshops open to the community, inviting them to reflect on their history and identity and on how we can design a public space that adapts to their forms of use, their dreams, and the climatic characteristics of the place. Thus, we seek to create an environmentally and socially sustainable meeting place, of which everyone feels proud and responsible.

Land and communities

We are looking for municipalities that are committed to the maintenance of the new green areas. With them we identify lands and communities that want to recover or transform their public spaces, which have to meet certain physical and social requirements.

Participatory construction

During one morning, neighbors, company employees, volunteers and professionals from Mi Parque, we built the new plaza together working in different crews and ending with a conviviality to inaugurate and celebrate all together.

Tracing

Projects are monitored in their physical and social dimension for up to a year after their construction, and in parallel, with the support of volunteers, work is being done on the formation of a neighborhood committee for the care, protection and activation of the new plaza.

Educational patios

Selection of communities

We are looking for kindergartens and schools in vulnerable contexts that want to transform their patios into educational green spaces. An educational playground is a pedagogical tool to promote creative, experiential and playful learning processes in contact with nature.
